Hermes 900 Heavy Oil Type (HFE) Detection UAV Delivery Terminal User

On April 30, 2022, the first batch of two Israeli "Hermes" 900 drone systems have arrived in Switzerland, and the remaining four systems will be delivered before the end of 2023. The handed-in UAV system will be tested for flights and will be delivered to the Swiss Air Force later in 2022.

The modified drone purchased by Switzerland isThe Hermes 900 StarLiner, also known as the Hermes 900 Heavy Oil (HFE) drone. The Swiss Air Force calls it Aufklärungs Drohnen Systems 15ADS 15). According to the requirements of the Swiss Air Force, Israel has made improvements to the Hermes 900 drone, such as changing the wings and wingspan, which can carry heavy oil engines with greater power.

Industry Interpretation

The Hermes series of drones are air-long-time drones developed by Israel's Elbit. They are mainly used for continuous reconnaissance, surveillance and real-time target strike missions on the battlefield. It mainly includes three models:
