The principle of the UAV control system

2019/5/24     Viewed:
The abbreviation of the drone is "drone", and the English abbreviation is "UAV” is an unmanned aircraft operated by a radio remote control device and self-produced program control device, or operated independently entirely or intermittently by an on-board computer.

Drone technology features:

  Realize the acquisition of relatively resolution images

  UAVs can realize the acquisition of relatively resolution images. While making up for the shortcomings of satellite remote sensing often not being able to obtain images due to cloud occlusion, it solves the problems of traditional satellite remote sensing revisiting cycles that are too long and timely emergency responses.

Unmanned fighter

The UAV system consists of an aircraft platform system, an information collection system and a ground control system. The early generations mainly focus on reconnaissance aircraft, and some drones have been equipped with weapons (e.g.RQ-1Predator EquipmentAGM-114Hellfire air-to-ground missile). The military expectation of more roles by drones is initially bombing and ground attacks, air-to-air combat, and pilots are in the latter area. Weapon-equipped drones are called unmanned fighter aircraft (Ucav)。

Launch and Recycling

The new generation of drones can be launched and recycled from a variety of platforms, such as launching and recycling from ground vehicles, ships, aircraft, suborbital vehicles and satellites. The ground operator can check its procedures through a computer and change the course of the drone as needed. Other more advanced technical equipment, such as relatively-level eavesdropping devices, radars that penetrate leaves, micro spectrometer devices that provide chemical capabilities, will also be installed on the drone.

Drone workflow:

1) Start interface: Quickly implement task planning, enter the task monitoring interface, realize quick and automatic archiving of aerial photography tasks, separate various functions, and realize the dedicated and stable software operation.

2) Pre-flight inspection: For the safety of the mission, automatic detection is carried out in combination with flight control software before takeoff, for the aircraftGPS, compass, airspeed tubes and pitch rolling are in good condition, avoiding dangerous situations in aerial photography.

3) Flight mission planning: Planning of flight missions in three modes: area airlighting, navigation, and hybrid.

4) Aerial flight monitoring: Real-time mastery of the aircraft's attitude, orientation, airspeed, position, battery voltage, real-time wind speed and direction, task time and other important states, so that operators can judge the executability of the task in real time, and further for the safety of the task.

5) Image stitching: After the aerial photography mission is completed, navigate the aerial photography images to perform image stitching in the study area.

Advantages of UAVs:

costLow, good efficiency and cost ratio; no risk of casualties; strong survivability, good maneuverability, easy to use, plays an extremely important role in modern warfare and has broader prospects in the civilian field.

Drone applications:

UAVs can be divided into military and civilian applications according to their application fields. In terms of military use, drones are divided into reconnaissance aircraft and target aircraft. In terms of civil use, drones+Industry applications are the real urgent needs of drones; currently, in the fields of aerial photography, agriculture, plant protection, micro-selfie shooting, express transportation, disaster rescue, observation of wild animals, monitoring infectious diseases, surveying and mapping, news reports, power inspection, disaster relief, film and television shooting, romance manufacturing, etc., have greatly expanded the use of drones themselves, and developed countries are also actively expanding the industry application and development of drone technology.

Drone control principle:

The flight control system of a drone mainly includes three parts: sensors, airborne computers and servo actuation equipment, and its functions include:

  1 Drone attitude stability and control;

  2 Drone navigation and track control;

  3 Drone takeoff and landing control;

  4 Drone mission equipment management and control, etc.
